    Negative Outlook

I worked at Hallmark Care Homes full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Hard to think of many. I was allowed part-time hours which was a positive.

    Cons

Old-fashioned (like an office in the 1960s) with very weak leadership. Lack of vision all round, with constant cat fights amongst the SLT (encouraged as seen as a celebration of how comfortable everyone is to speak up). They lack commercial acumen and in my opinion, people are put in positions for which they are severely under qualified and lack experience. Simply their face fits or they’re a family member. I was warned by many people to not join this company. I should have heeded their advice.

    Cons

Worst Regional management ever seen, bullies, rude and rasist. A very stressful environment for every single department. Senior management are never happy and want people to work continuesly, non stop if possible and still won't be good enough. This company is really all about imagine, must look good but in fact they do.nothing and there's no time for care! Hallmark care 0 for their residents and staff and treat them horrible.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Hallmark Care Homes full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Lots of time off with 14 days on 14 days off system, if clear with holidays could possible work 4 months with 8 months off

    Cons

Very poor systems in place, have the idea to higher young and inexperience with the idea to train and guide but zero training happening. very poor cleaning system in place considering its a care home, would expect much better as I have seen while doing agency in other care homes. Terrible menus with very poor products, frozen bottom feeding fish from from Asia with taste like soil the worst. Poor work ethos which stems from the top so want change, mind set isn't right, the residents are the problem, not the staff are working to serve and provide a quality service. Residents notes says "1 no pepper and 1 no garlic" to which the chef replied " but a little pepper or garlic wont hurt them" very concerning and red flag about chefs mind frame and experience. being told how to do my role by a 18 year old carer. I witnessed drinking on site while working, no management and people let do as they want. when asked to have a meeting was just ignored and told it was down to a personalty difference and sometimes it doesn't work out, concerning and poor response from management just sit in the office talking about problems but never any solutions. In training said will always offer a leaving interview as want to know why people leave, none offered.
