Pros
When I joined Intelliboard, I quickly developed a strong appreciation for the company. I had a positive perspective and saw it as a forward-thinking and supportive organization, with a notable number of female leaders. I held great respect for my colleagues and admired the leadership. Many of my colleagues were exceptionally talented individuals whom I had the honor of collaborating with. It was because of these individuals that I remained with the company for the duration that I did.
Cons
Soon enough it was evident that my initial optimistic viewpoint had clouded my judgment. Certain influential leaders within the organization displayed biased behavior that favored their own interests, which was impossible to overlook. The performative display of care for others within the organization was merely a facade to cover up the lack of competence and inability to effectively utilize the company's pool of talent. The frequent turnover within departments and periodic layoffs have created an environment where the workload is consistently unbalanced. This has resulted in employees feeling overwhelmed and undervalued, ultimately becoming the convenient scapegoat for any operational shortcomings. Promotions and salary increases are nearly nonexistent, as I never witnessed anyone receiving one during my tenure. The pay disparity even between those of with the same role is shocking. Instead, I observed that those who voiced their ambitions and sought to advance within the company, or advocated for themselves, often found themselves the first to be laid off next. In this work environment, your resilience and ability to persevere, adapt and pivot is imperative. Your tenure (and your sense of reality) is dependent on your diligence to documentation. This is not an environment for the neurodivergent or differently-abled. It consistently fails to foster safety and inclusivity.
