I have been working at International SOS full-time

    Pros

Truly interesting workplace with a lot of employees from different backgrounds. They all have unique experience to share and skills to bring to the teams Each team and department has its own activities and work methods - the organisational structure is never the same and there is always something new to learn. It is hard work but everyone seems highly invested.

    Cons

Departments should communicate with each other more. information sharing is important to work towards the same goal. A bit more transparency would help this. As said before, it is hard work because of the steep learning curve.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your teams by giving more ground to work and develop. Keep a collaborative management style.

I have been working at International SOS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

International SOS is a great place to work, flexible working, benefits, employee health and well-being. Managers take a keen and active approach in training and developing their staff. ISOS is a truly unique company to work for, a company that stands by its values and ethos. I have been working here for 4 years and hope to continue my career within this outstanding company

    Cons

I actually cannot think of any

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at International SOS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great work ethic throughout the business, and everyone is willing to help. I was thrown into the deep end in my first few weeks, and I loved it as I was given amazing exposure. My manager and co workers were very much on hand to support all my queries. I really like the communicative approach management are taking with employees - it shows they are willing to listen. Overall a really good 3 months, the best...

    Cons

Quite a complex organisation structure wise, so I am still getting used to that and understanding different functions .

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! And don't be afraid to continue to ask for employee opinions - I have seen some very good work come out of the engagement initiatives so far.

I have been working at International SOS full-time

    Pros

This is a fascinating organisation providing healthcare in the most difficult and extreme parts of the world. No day is the same, the people are a fun bunch of like minded individuals who work hard.

    Cons

It's not for everyone though. If you're not comfortable with flexible flexibility, an ability to manage uncertainty, a complex organisational structure that I still haven't always worked out, old IT infrastructure and a decision making system that can sometimes be rather slow then don't work here. But if you are a self starter, confident, motivated, enthusiastic and can deal well with the above this may be a good place...

    I worked at International SOS

    Pros

    Nice location in west London.

    Cons

Induction and training run by people with obvious personality disorders, which also seems to be the case for at least part of the TRICARE management. You will not be prepared for the actual job, even if management will expect you to know the job inside out by the time you finish training. Even minor imprecisions will lead to threats of disciplinary action and dismissal. The only people who can tell you how the place works...

    Advice to Management

Treat people like human beings, it's 2019, not 1819. And do something about training instead of wasting money on large intakes of candidates in the hope that some might stick around for long enough.

I have been working at International SOS full-time

    Pros

    Chiswick Business Park always vibrant

    Cons

From Day 1 you are entering a hostile workspace. Having worked similar roles over various sectors I must say I've never encountered such an abusive regime. Blame culture pervades the platform and employees are perpetually reprimanded for the most elementary of mistakes: This can take the form of formal disciplinary proceedings for anything from sickness to call handling to grammar. Worker's rights do not exist where HR...

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at International SOS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

3/4 days off a week and the business park, nothing else

    Cons

If you are thinking about joining the TRICARE operations team please think long and hard about the decision you are about to make. You will be consistently micro managed, you will be thrown into the deep end with limited resources and training, you will be punished by management and the quality team if you make a mistake, there is a blame culture that exists throughout management even if you are new to the platform....

    Advice to Management

Change the senior operation management in TRICARE they are running this place down, and driving out quality members of staff.
