I have been working at Leyton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's hard work and has its stressful moments but if you knuckle down and are prepared to learn there's good money to be made and fun to be had. The people are fantastic and friends made here are for life. Great incentives and trips away to be won.

    Cons

Pressured job, you've got to be consistant and you have to deliver but once you've got the hang of it it's managable for the most part.

I have been working at Leyton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent salary and genuinley exciting job.

    Cons

Hard to progress in London office. You really need to go the extra mile to stand out and it affects work life balance. Culture of nepotism in some offices. For instance in the Scotland office the managers deliberately gave good contracts to certain people so they get promoted fast. Resulted in good people having to leave as they had no future and then the reasons for leaving were covered up. Sales staff leave very quickly so its impossible to build a rapport

    Leyton Response

We are very sorry to hear your comments. We pride ourselves on the promotional structure available, which is based upon a number of variables allowing for a clear path of progression and varying levels available within the Consultant team. As staff progress through seniority variables can sometimes be more subjective and will involve a number of factors, not least discussions about this with their manager. It is very important that staff members feel they can approach and discuss such matters with their manager and especially during this time when PDR's are being undertaken and clear attainment targets and KPI's set. If any member of staff feels they are not getting the progression they desire or that is due they should feel confident in approaching their Senior Manager or Head of Department, who will be more than happy to assist with this matter. Or if the individual feels they need more support, the HR department will happily assist them in enabling this discussion.
