Great career opportunities with this progressive family run IT company
RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Lots of opportunities to learn and progress within this exciting, progressive tech company. The salary package is attractive, the software is market leading and the workforce is brilliant. I can’t speak highly enough of my peers.
Cons
Some people might be a little frustrated by the strict dress policy (i.e. Business Suits). This approach might feel a little outdated.

- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Poor company to work for as they don't hear your side of the story
Cons
A company who employees a woman who brakes the law during lock down by going from Nottingham to Derby to work at her partners while everyone was working from home, but sacks someone who did nothing wrong and in their eyes who did not measure up to their standards.

The processes weigh down the ability to reach targets both on an individual and company wide scale. Sometimes the culture can go back to the olden days

Grey plain office reflects that Chernobyl concrete humanless look

Cannot think of any other than the work started off exciting when I joined. You can also work from home some days but they don't like it and want people back as soon as they stop complaining.
Cons
A terribly managed business resulted in a missed opportunity to create a successful modern workplace. Image is everything here. There is a big look of grandeur as you enter main building, you are first met with a menacing and hostile looking revolving door, upon entering you find yourself in some sort of alternate reality from 1974. Everyone is too scared to suggest real improvement so most projects end rushed or binned. Unless you are 55+ and indoctrinated from 80s and 90s work culture then there in no long term career here for most. Top level managers are all like the Churchill advert, nodding to the actual in real control. Embarrassing. Middle management roles are constantly playing the red light green light game like in Squid games, waiting for their turn to be chopped or pushed aside. You will see shouting in high level meetings from top brass, signs of someone who isn't in control of their emotions. Place has imploded with a much higher turnover than most places of similar size. Rather than ride the wave of the pandemic and adapt with it, the company is adamant on hitting the self destruct button. Product ideas start well but newest product is one of poorest investments for a limited company that size poured £35 million+ with little ROI, rushed nonsense features. Investing in new buildings at peak of pandemic was poor business vision and continues to be. They tried to go through “speed up” delivery phases but all in resulted in is lost talent. Those responsible also found fate or gone elsewhere. Top level management even talked of taking on competition in Nottingham. Laughable because what actually happened was their competition have stole all their staff!!! People go from being under review, to promotion very easily suggests they reward people incorrectly. Everyone is just treated like a commodity rather than a human.

Pros
The people are great! You are trusted from day 1, your hired because MHR see something in you whether that’s skill or who you are! Career progression is limitless, if you want to go far you can. If you want to remain in the role you are applied for your not penalised for it. Training budget is there and relevant to your career path. Facilities from a subsidised canteen and a car park are great additions. People truely care about what they are driving to achieve and that’s clear from how hard people work!
Cons
The dress code is challenged by some. It’s not for everyone but it allows you to present yourself well and ensures that when customers are on site which occurs frequently they see a well dressed team, that leaves a lasting impression. The other bonus is this levels the playing field! Flexible working in this competitive market can be challenging when trying to hire; the positives outweigh this albeit temporary swarm of remote working being offered which stops people connecting.
