Pros

- Great place to ensure you never progress - Fantastic case study opportunity for toxic work environment

Cons

No career progression or new things to work on, only supporting old legacy with no prioritised drive to get off of it. Uncompetitive rates - barely even matches market rates 6 years ago. Toxic workplace with the most confusing and shortsighted decisions that constantly impact morale at all times. Role is in a team with no future, only for support, no new work and incredibly small team trying to pull miracles. More meetings than hours in a day. CTO seems to have no clue what they're doing, there is no clear direction for anything, just directors (senior senior managers, not board members) barking out direction with no alignment or proper backing at all. Constant mismanagement from the upper levels, C-Suite to Senior Management - direct managers are usually just proxies in an unfortunate position. Absolute clique culture, if you aren't in the group you'll be ignored. Rampant bullying as a result of the management culture. Increadibly disorganised, out dated, and penny pinching. Understaffed with unskilled staff being hired inappropriately. High staff turn over. Endless talking about improving things, but no actions taken. If you take up the mantle to try and drive change you'll be constantly hamstrung by how behind processes are, and the absurd level of red tape. Money is only a problem when it comes to improving things. Always cash to spend on vendors. Lying is frequent. There's a course that exists that is a clever way to silence people from expressing dissent about others. Incredible lack of respect to people who have left the company. A lot of upper management has either failed up, nepotism hires, or people with a good heart who unfortunately were promoted up into a role where they can do less about what they're passionate towards and are ground down with absurd responsibilities as a result.

Senior management not supportive. Management turn a blind eye on culture issues. Limited career progression unless you are close knit with certain managers. Experience counts for nothing unless you know someone. Unsupportive HR Sexual discrimination is ripe

Pros

I found most of the work colleagues wonderful to work with. The salary packaging is a great benefit.

Cons

You will never see an executive walking the floors. they hide on the executive floor looking out for themselves and stabbing colleagues in the back. What a dreadful place. If you make a complaint, or your head is on the chopping block.
