    Pros

There are none that come to mind

    Cons

Company is highly unprofessional. People in office running around shoving pies in each others faces and a bunch of kids talking about how they haven't slept for 3 days.

    Advice to Management

Sort your infrastructure out. Their is no strategy for sustainability in the business. Poor customer service and poor planning

I worked at Opus Talent Solutions full-time

    Pros

    There is some good training

    Cons

    - Managers bully staff, make people feel small
    - They hire in mass, typically fire more than half before the first week is up
    - So KPI driven and will be shamed in front of everyone
    - Would not recommend people to work here

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better

I have been working at Opus Talent Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opus has always been really fast growing and ambitious and this has shown in the brilliant results. It has always felt like you are part of something special, and that start-up entrepreneurial culture really shows.

What's been really great recently, is that they have made an effort to make sure that all the positive bits of the culture are filtering down more. I don't think Opus ever had anything but good intentions - but when you are growing so fast and running so hard it's hard to take everyone along with you.

I think the Leaders of the business have really started thinking about making sure everyone is brought on the journey. The culture, training, experience, comms, policies everything have improved so much. And people now know how much they are valued.

I've worked at Opus a while, and whilst I always felt that everyone was valued - I could understand why sometimes people didn't realise it - it's hard to go from a small start up to a leading global company. But now I think things are better than ever.

    Cons

There is always cons to having to work.... :-) and there will always be one off gripes. But the good thing is that it's an environment where you can share your ideas.

I've worked at a few companies, and I can honestly say with perspective, that it's really good and fair here.

    Advice to Management

I am really enjoying the new policy changes - the mental health and wellness initiatives have been great, as well as the investment in tech events

    Pros

    Convenient location in Bristol

    Cons

Poor transparency with potential hires. They tell you one thing then change their mind at the last minute. They have no issue compromising your employment circumstances and don’t have the decency to provide timely explanation.

The incentives are stretching but realistic and obtainable.
You get what you put in.
Support from management, always have time for questions.
    Competitive environment
    Clear progression

    Cons

    Long hours
Competitive environment (If that isn't for you can be bad)
Pressure to do well and do deals

    Advice to Management

Keep getting the best out of everyone, realise that some people are happy earning less and doing less but will still achieve excellent profitability for the business

    Pros

If you want to be the best at what you do and you are serious about giving your all to your career in recruitment and want to learn from the best... Then join Opus.

Opus give you all the tools, training, the resources and support you could possibly need to achieve above and beyond industry standard performance. It is an exceptional business with exceptional leaders in each office + amazing home grown talent. There is no other business that has managed to achieve the results that Opus have in the UK. If you get the opportunity to be apart of this, take it with both hands and make something of it...

I honestly believe if you aren't successful at Opus it is genuinely because recruitment is not for you. Opus literally don't allow you to be bad at the job.

Incentives are unbelievable... Monthly lunch clubs... And although it was of course an incredibly social and fun place to work, everybody was so focussed on their targets and performance, that the environment has no room for pettiness/politics you find in businesses where people aren't as serious about making it big. You won't find a more ambitious business and it's probably testament to Darren. He is an unbelievable leader.

Having worked in other businesses, I can safely say Opus are simply the elite IT recruitment company. If you want to be the best and be pushed then you won't find a better place.

    Cons

Exactly what you'd expect the cons to be of a business that offers you a platform to become the best at what you do in such a competitive field.
You have to put in work, this is not even a con. This is a given if you are ambitious.

    Advice to Management

You are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing.
It is quite apparent that it works.
    Congratulations!!

I have been working at Opus Talent Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It really is what it promises. It's fast paced, ambitious, exciting, and rewards are there for those who want to work hard. It's the perfect place for people who are entrepreneurial, but it also provides great training and support at junior levels to help you get a grounding in recruitment.

It's the kind of place where you can be who you want to be. You can work hard, do the basics and get ahead in recruitment. Or you can also take all the crazy opportunities open to you and propel your career in ways that aren't possible in small, unambitious companies, or big corporates with lots of red tape. It's basically the best of both worlds.

    Cons

So much great stuff going on that sometimes it's hard to keep up with it all. Information is out there, but comms could be quicker

    Advice to Management

Keep going. I hope that as it gets bigger and bigger the 'start up' and entrepreneurial spirit continues!

I have been working at Opus Talent Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opus push you to a level you never thought was possible, train you to work in the most efficient manner to optimise your work day. This along with the fantastic training Opus provide allow you to elevate your career if you're willing to work for it. Opus reward the people that want to excellent, they specialise in not being average and compete at the highest level in recruitment.

    Cons

"If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done." - Some people want the glories of recruitment but aren't willing to put the effort in. You must give yourself, be patient, be consistent and the rewards will come.

    Advice to Management

Within the 2 years I've been here there have been multiple changes. Retention like with any recruitment company is always changing as Opus have had their struggles but keep moving in the right direction towards culture focus, trust in culture and the results will show.
