Service Coordinator

Pros

Great relationship with coworkers (fellow Service Coordinators and Service Coordinator Assistants), fellow SCs and SCAs very helpful, flexible scheduling, potential to earn the ability to work from home on Fridays

Cons

Management is very unstructured. There is no Human Resource department, therefore any complaint goes straight to the CEO and COO, which makes it incredibly uncomfortable to voice your opinion/make a complaint. Policies change often and with little to no notice. PTO is non existent due to having to make up the work from your time off. Upper management treats employees like numbers and it is apparent that they only care about making money. No potential for growth if you're a free thinking individual with ideas that differ from upper managements'.

Pros

Fair pay, work from home option, diverse, opportunities for advancement. You will get paid what you are worth for the most part, esp. if you are in a management position. Working remotely is a plus for some.

Cons

Unstable leadership, toxic work environment, poor business model, failing company. CEO is angry and explosive to even the most loyal, hard-working employees. This is due to the fact that the business is failing caused by poor business model and expending less than is coming in. He is impossible to approach with viewpoints contrary to his own. If you want things to go well, just agree with everything he says, even if you see disaster warnings ahead. Leadership badmouths anyone and everyone and does so in front of colleagues. CEO knows nothing of human services and is only driven by numbers. Name will be changed to OneWell soon (great name choice, right? Ignore the grammatical disgrace it embodies); so don't be deceived. Same failing company, same toxic leadership, different name. If this place was registered with the BBB, they would have an atrocious rating.

Don't work there

Pros

You will meet some great employees/co-workers. Occasional work from home.

Cons

Very bad management. No set policies. Not every employee get equal pay. You could be working there for a longer period and a new employee comes and will make a lot more than what you are making. They are always watching you on the cameras (they have them everywhere). They would probably add microphones too if they could. All they care about is money. You even have to work on certain holidays to make them money. You don't really have a training. They just throw you on the job and give you a full caseload. You just learn as you go. Close friends and family of the executives get all the benefits. There is no room for growth so you'll basically be stuck in one position.
