Pros

Company culture is really good. Colleagues are nice and helpful. You get good room for growth and opportunities to grow.

Cons

Salary increment is quite standard not as goos as IT companies. Employees are quite disposable, lay offs happen quite frequently.

Thank you for your review and for your thoughts. I know we have had massive change and this has impacted good people. I'm hopeful that change will come to an end soon and we can move on. We do not feel our people are disposable. We've had to make some hard decisions for the business and these are tough ones - we know that people are impacted. Our hope is to be organized for our future growth and to keep our 'shining stars. I hope you will stay with us to see us through 2025 and then to what is beyond

Great Potential, Poor Execution

Pros

Great people to work with at the middle management level and below. Colleagues are supportive and easy to collaborate with.

Cons

The company has been struggling to keep up with competitors, and layoffs are constant. It was concerning when the company removed its core values, which felt like a sign of bigger issues ahead. Communication across teams is limited, and employees often only find out about layoffs in other departments through deactivated accounts or rumors, even when those roles directly impact day-to-day operations. Non-engineering or product roles often feel undervalued. Leadership sometimes seems out of touch with the business and customer needs. Workloads can be high, especially as teams shrink, and compensation doesn’t always match the effort expected. It used to feel like a great place to work, but the culture and morale have declined.

Shell of a company

Pros

Worked with some great people

Cons

This was such a great company to work for years ago. Now it’s become a shell of itself and has laid off so many incredibly talented people only to post job openings for those roles months later. What’s left of the product team has nothing but awful things to say. There is no game plan and culture has gone down the toilet. It’s a company based on remote work opportunities and wants everyone in office. Make it make sense.

Turning the Ship Around

Pros

The executive team has truly turned things around. Leadership feels focused, communicative, and aligned on a long-term vision. The engineering team has embraced an AI-first mindset, which has brought clarity, innovation, and renewed excitement to product development. The People team has done an amazing job improving onboarding, enablement, and community. The culture feels more connected and supportive than ever. The recent rebrand feels like the perfect reflection of where the company is headed. Specifically, it feels very modern, confident, and cohesive. Overall, Pebl feels like a company that’s learned from the hard parts and is now executing with purpose and momentum.

Cons

The transition period wasn’t easy. There was some turbulence and uncertainty during the restructuring and leadership changes. As the company grows quickly again, some processes are still catching up, and internal alignment can be a work in progress. Change fatigue is real; some employees are still adjusting to the new pace and expectations.

Pros

Working at Pebl has been an incredible experience so far, mainly due to the fantastic leadership and the company’s exceptional culture. From day one, it's been clear that Pebl fosters an environment of transparency, collaboration, and innovation. The leadership team is highly approachable, deeply invested in employee growth, and always strives to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace. There’s a clear sense of direction, and it feels like everyone is working toward the same common goal. The company culture is one of the best I've encountered—supportive, inclusive, and full of opportunities for personal and professional development. There’s a real emphasis on work-life balance, and the team is genuinely passionate about helping each other succeed. Whether it's through regular feedback, mentorship programs, or team-building activities, Pebl really invests in its people.

Cons

While the majority of the team is hardworking and dedicated, there can be instances where the workload distribution isn't always balanced. Some team members consistently contribute more, while others may not pull their weight as much, which can lead to others picking up the slack. It’s not a widespread issue, but it can create tension at times. When everyone’s giving 110%, it can be frustrating when a few are not matching that energy, which sometimes forces others to cover the extra load.
