Pros

I learned a lot from my teammates on the crisis team.

Cons

I had to sit through an hour long meeting in which my character was attacked by the head of HR, who had never spoken to me prior. The traits they decided were negative, were my autism traits.

Pros

Incredibly kind and supportive coworkers who foster a positive work environment. Some supervisors were helpful and provided guidance when needed. Collaborative team atmosphere that made day-to-day interactions enjoyable.

Cons

Decisions are heavily micromanaged, even when policies are followed. Despite the company’s emphasis on autonomy, there is a lack of support for employee decisions, leading to frustration. Frequent meetings with higher-ups make you feel like you've made the wrong decision, regardless of compliance with policies. The pay is extremely low and not livable, which adds to the challenges of working here.

Thank you for the feedback about your experience. It is our goal to build a culture where employees feel valued, heard, and supported. Please note that clinical leaders are responsible for gathering information from everyone involved and decisions reflect program policies, accreditation or regulatory standards, clinical best practices, or legal recommendations. Supervisors evaluate when additional oversight is needed with staff, and at times more oversight may be needed. It would not be the norm. PCH continues to make incremental updates in our wage scales and strives to be competitive with other non-profits. We recognize the scale for the Therapist position has changed over the last year, and we are working to make improvements. We also recognize that our past practices of salary and performance incentives for clinical performance measures have not resulted in what we hoped, and we are working on changes to improve the compensation structure for our clinicians. We can see from your feedback the challenges you are facing, and we would invite you to reach out to your HR team to talk about your specific concerns. We can work with you on an individualized plan of support and partner with you to hopefully improve your overall experience. Thank you.
