Pros

Leave early on Friday. Holidays off. Job requires little independent thought, if that's your thing.

Cons

Micromanaged, everyone has to take lunch at the same time. Work day starts at 8:00 but you are scolded if you are not at your desk working by 7:55. This job is more like an assembly line than a sales job. 100+ calls a day, you are forced to follow a script, which includes lying to prospects. You have to find your own leads (which is basically using your managers LinkedIn account), and there is no lead management, so prospects are being called multiple times a day, by multiple reps, and it's actually encouraged by management. The salary is peanuts. After working for a year, I realized it's rare to make over $1,000-$1,200 a month in commission. This is a sub $40K a year job.

Pros

At Q1, you have the opportunity to learn why sales jobs have a bad reputation. In this position, I was required to give false information (aka blatantly lie) about the number of attendees registered for an event when speaking with prospective attendees. The only positive is they are a small company, if that's something you like.

Cons

Management aggressively reprimands poor performance, sometimes by unprofessional mocking and sometimes by being downright mean. Yes, a sales job is not easy and requires motivation from yourself and your management, but their work environment is something similar to Glen Gary Glen Ross; old-school, counter-productive and unfair.

Cons

- low base salary compared to industry standard - poor training - 8 hrs of straight dialing 150+ - have to generate own leads - must spend 3.5 hrs minimum of lead reasearch outside of work. - lots of feed back on what you need to improve with out a legit, ate guideline to follow
