Worst Job I've Ever Had....

Pros

They have a stocked fridge....

Cons

Some of these positive reviews, have got to be bogus. This is hands down the worst job I have ever had. I have never been treated so badly by management and you're definitely set up for failure, with their lack of tools/infrastructure. Sure the snacks are great, but I can't wait to quit. Do NOT waste your time here...you will want to leave shortly.

Pros

A company that hires very motivated and hard working people, many of the developers and boots on the ground sales and marketing team are very pleasant and team players. I have to say that the thing I enjoyed the most at RevCult was the people I worked with, not for. My peers and colleagues were some of the most driven and kind-hearted people I've ever met in my career.

Cons

The main reason I left was because of the way people were treated by middle-management, especially on the services side. Long hours and duties beyond the norm were expected, and many of my colleagues suffered from burn out and break downs. Work was never properly appreciated, and feedback towards employees was only ever used as leverage to control any criticism you may have had towards the company or managers. Employees are regularly taken advantage of, management plays favorites, and the culture has gotten pretty toxic since moving to a remote workspace environment. There are attempts at trying to appear connected, but most just serve as an echochamber to convince managers and officers of how great the company is. Workers are constantly reminded of how well the company is doing -- monthly all hands are held that often show record profit month to month, but thats the only time we hear good news. The rest of the month is the constant push to bill as many hours as possible (as close to FORTY hours a week or more), not including any internal project meetings that may need to be held or the 2-hour All-Hands once a month. "Hustle" is a term that is used a lot at RevCult and is just as bad as the "work hard, play hard" mentality in that it creates this culture where over time and "crunch" is encouraged because its in the best interest of the company, rather than prioritizing your own physical and mental well-being. Lastly, the company falls back on scapegoating. Rather than confront internal issues that are toxic to the culture and trying to make sure concerns are heard, good-faith feedback is ignored and often twisted as leverage to get you to work harder and more quietly, and criticism that may be "disruptive" enough can eventually get you terminated. They encourage an atmosphere of open honesty and transparency and "No B.S.", but when it comes to employee feedback towards the company or management, they'd rather sweep it under the rug and remove those who are outspoken rather than address the issues.

Pros

Established Startup that is rapidly growing and stable. Then to add Management and all employees have a great collaborative environment to make things happen and are always working on constant improvements internally and personally.

Cons

Due to the growth one can end up with multiple hats and still has a startup mentality of jump in and help. Great if you like the variety, but if looking for job to stay in your specialty bubble probably not the best fit.
