Good and friendly place to work. very friendly colleague and helpful

When working a service job you are usually the face that people complain to. Working in a hotel is no different and is probably worse than most others- but Scandic Hotels is a great hotel to work at no matter what.

Can be very stressful If you work alone at the service desk its hard to find time to eat

The compensation is a little low

The occasional rude guest - but that's inevitable.

- Guest interaction beyond “welcome, here’s your key” is discouraged by management at at least 3 locations where I’ve worked. I’ve been told 5 times not to give advice on spots to visit or to speak the language of the guest. - Management avoid full-time employments and actively under staff shifts to increase profits with no regard for stressed employees. This happens across departments. Waiting time for check-in can go up to 30min for a 3hr period due to only one receptionist being scheduled.

Pretty low pay, a lot of customers.
