I have been working at Thales full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Good working environment, interesting projects, decent pay

      Cons

Thales has a limited philosophy regarding advancement. It seems to be easier to leave than to work your way up (unless you are a graduate)

      Advice to Management

Give your people a way to progress and you might keep them for longer.

      Neutral Outlook
      No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Thales full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      monthly pay check, job security

      Cons

Poor processes, no company induction past the first couple of days, no direction from line management unless you're in the boys club

      Advice to Management

If you are willing to recruit people from outside the business to fill roles, you have to enable them to do these roles efficiently. That means a training strategy for all new employees on Thales procedures, and governance processes, Systems engineering methodology is put into practice in different ways in different companies. I left contracting to join Thales permanently, and i'm now returning to contracting 1 year later

      Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Thales full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Variety of work and interesting projects. Good work/life balance Lots of training provided

      Cons

A lot of flowdowns on how to do the job from people who have no view of what the job is. A lot of new but inefficient process implemented poorly.

      Advice to Management

Procurement processes and tools are very dated, need to start implementing more innovative ways of working. In particular early supplier involvement to avoid the massive issues caused by engineers over specifying.
