Layoffs post holidays, immediate backlash, I was told a script by someone who is a CONTRACTOR - not even a an actual hire of Trend. I had only spoken this person once before in an “what’s the deal with your job” meeting, and then they laid me off. The rest of the staff I was close with has since left. Demolished the entire department, and only left one person on who had a child the same day of the layoffs. People left there on the Advent side either have since left (good on em) or have accepted new more senior titles and are playing into the hysteria that their job and the company is secure.

This company has completely changed in the last year. I am only still here due to not being able to yet secure a new one in this economy. I am actively interviewing, and on my way out. I want to warn anyone actively interviewing to start here, it is not too late to run. Nothing good will happen to your career here, you will not get promoted, you will not get recognition, you will not get career development. You will put in your hard work to help this machine continue to grow and merge in more small companies, tear them apart, and likely lay you off as the cherry on top. Good luck to everyone stuck in this storm. Life is too short to be treated this bad by a job.
