I have been working at Unit4 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Brilliant team, where you can have the opportunity to learn a lot of different things, grow with the company and make a meaningful contribution. There's a lot of trust within the global team, plenty of flexibility, everyone is keen to learn and help each other and opinions are always listened to. Loads of responsibility and total trust from early on. Sense of purpose is clear, well lead, team focused. Early exposure to senior people, both internally and at customer organisations.

    Cons

Like in any growing company experiencing huge change, there's occasionally some uncertainty and last minute changes to adapt to, so sometimes processes aren't ideal but it's down to you to improve anything you want to improve.

I have been working at Unit4 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I joined Unit4 in July 2019 as a Principal Consultant. Since joining I've been able to shape my own career journey as Unit4 provide so many opportunities to develop and learn and I've found that the more that I embraced this, the more opportunities were open to me. The role itself is very challenging, full on and exciting and you certainly need to be prepared to work hard to reap the benefits. I feel that I've made the biggest growth in my development during my entire career since working at Unit4 (and I've been working for 34 years!) and I've recently been able to secure a new position as Solution Architect, which I absolutely love. Again, I'm on a steep learning and development curve, which means that every day is exciting. I don't think that this will ever change while I work at Unit4 as the solutions we offer continue to evolve and improve, there is always something new to learn.

    Cons

Inability to work in an office environment with colleagues due to COVID restrictions but I hope that once COVID restrictions are lifted we will have more opportunity to work together.

I worked at Unit4 full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Camaraderie among lower level.

    Cons

Where to begin. Truly hapless and toxic leadership culture, perpetuated by astonishingly poor selection processes based on cronyism. Marketing bluster has done a good job to secure the sale of the company, but underneath lurks a dark truth. Tired product. An enormous layer of self-serving incompetent, low EQ managers with no regard for corporate values. Bizarre and unexplained mistreatment of staff, with a complicit HR department. Woeful decision making processes for operational matters exacerbated by an unwillingness at management level to engage and collaborate with the workforce. Totally top-down driven ethos, which, for a company run by largely deficient borderline sociopathic leaders is a recipe for a crushing experience unless you are willing to leave your conscience and genuine self at home, far far away from work.

I worked at Unit4 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Unit4 offer a number of strong products and a good growth plan. The CEO has a great vision for the long term future.

    Cons

Unfortunately for me I worked with management that lied quite often. Very unprofessional work ethic and handing out PIPs and in front of other team members to embarrass you. Some members of Unit4 do not actively practice the values or culture that the CEO is trying to promote.

I have been working at Unit4 full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people focus at Unit4 is second to none. Unlimited annual leave policy isn't just a 'for the image thing', I genuinely took over 35 days annual leave last year and still had top results, and full pay. No questions asked. Opportunity for progression are wide, as a growing and changing company, lots of things are opening up. If you are successful in your role, you will be rewarded (certainly from a sales perspective anyway). The company is also very lean, and not all that hierarchal. I could easily give our CSO or Regional President a call, and this would be normal. No one is 'low' and no one is 'high'. Its all just a big huge team (genuinely, I know it sounds cheesy but it is). I have been at the company since 2017, and with Mike Ettling coming in as CEO in 2019 huge changes have been made. We are no longer the same company that I started in, and the changes are very positive. I have never seen so much investment in the people as I have done in Unit4. Unit4 are also investing in its people with learning festivals, and promoting self-growth. There have been many appearances and sessions by inspirational figures such as Kristen Hadeed, which really promote self improvement not only in work, but outside of work. Overall - I think I'll be sticky to Unit4 as a company for several years to come (as long as they'll have me!).

    Cons

Biggest issue is low pay. If you stay with Unit4 for several years, its like getting blood out of a stone to get any sort of pay rise, even when you bring evidence that you are not being paid market value. It is unfortunately a lot easier to simply leave and get rehired on a higher salary. This is critical and needs focus, because what we are finding is our top talents are being poached away by competitors, for just a few thousand extra on the base salary. This needs addressing urgently, as the process for pay rises are not clear, and progression plans are lacking, especially for our junior graduates.

I have been working at Unit4 full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Unlimited Holiday - not that we can go anywhere at the moment Weekly company survey to check the pulse of the employees Huge drive to ensure work life balance - we are actively encouraged to take lunch and breaks and also block out time to focus

    Cons

Company has gone through a number of leadership changes over the past few years and there have been a number of 're-organisations' , resulting in new processes, new people and uncertainty for customers

I have been working at Unit4 full-time for less than a year

    Pros

As a returning employee for my 2nd stint here, I'm very impressed with how everything is at Unit4. You feel extremely valued as an employee and looked after, our wellbeing is really taken into consideration and this helps massively. The vision is very clear and is shown throughout the business. Unit4 really ensure tools are in place to progress your career and everyone is so helpful. Offering all employees things such as flexible working, unlimited annual leave and also focus fridays is such a great benefit to have and makes you leave work on a Friday refreshed for the following week.

    Cons

Nothing as yet, keep going with all the people focused benefits and wellbeing
