    Push for investing in people with training opportunities to take on more responsibility; it will help with morale and make people more efficient in their roles, especially during this uncertain period when jobs are lost

    Advice to Management

    I think Virgin Media slowly lost its identity after Liberty Global took over. Now are the parts of two companies trying to be one. I used to love working here. Now I dread coming into the office. It’s lifeless, all motivators are gone and the workload has increased. We are busier than ever, pushed harder than ever and are rewarded less than ever. While I understand that there needs to be focus on efficiency and revenue protection, this often comes at the expense of the staff and the customers. I used to feel valued during my first 4 years and have a felt a massive shift over the last 3. I am currently looking for employment elsewhere as the situation has gradually worsened. Shame to want to leave after 7 years but now it’s time to jump ship.

    In branding we are still virgin media, but in the background LG are pushing their own agendas. The victims end up being customers, who value the virgin brand but end up getting an LG tailored service, and the staff who no longer work for the same fun and innovative company they used to feel proud to talk about. I’d stay away until the company decides what it wants to be and recruits a strong, established leadership team who actually believe in the direction the business is heading.

    Working form home, flexible hours, manage own workload, can move in amany directions if you so desire inc management of Others.

    Cons

    A change in ownership has brought changing practices and responsibilities. I am not there now and shouldn't comment further.
