Meet June. Everyone at AO gets a couple of days a year to help their chosen charity. We call them ‘Make A Difference Days’ and a bunch of AOers from our tech team recently used their ‘MAD Days’ to help make some community gardens ready for winter 😄 Our AOers spent the day at the Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley: 👷♂️ building compass dumps, 🪓 clearing out woodland, and 🌻🌼 helping paint fences around their 'Seaside Garden'. “It was really rewarding to see how much we could help Derian House in just one day,” said Emily, one of the smiley AOers pictured here. “It's so great that AO offers us MAD Days, letting us use work time to give back to causes that really matter to us and help make a difference.” Join AO >>> ao-jobs.com
At AO, we inspire each other to be our true selves, so with National Coming Out Day this week, we took the chance to throw back to some of our favourite Pride moments from recent months 🏳🌈 Aside from sponsoring Bolton Pride (and bringing the noise for the town-wise parade), we raised £1,200+ for The Proud Trust and even invited the organisation in to tell our AOers more about how they support LGBT+ young people through youth groups, peer support, and mentoring programmes. Say “hi” to Sameaa. She’s been lighting up our Contact Centre as a Customer Experience Specialist since October 2020, and her dreams are as big as her spirit.
