A huge congratulations to B&Q Team Leader, Louise, who recently received a Distinction in her Retail Team Leader Level 3 apprenticeship! “Taking on an apprenticeship whilst being new to my role really helped me to settle in. We've recently introduced The B&Q Foundation, an initiative that will allocate grants of up to £5,000 to charities that support people experiencing bad housing or homelessness, as well as community projects that are looking to improve their spaces. In its first round, The Foundation has awarded £175,000 in grants to 39 charities across the UK, ranging from homelessness and abuse charities to children’s hospices and rehabilitation centres. Since partnering in 2017, B&Q has raised over £1.5 million for the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. When it was announced that this year's London Marathon may look a little different, our Retail Director, Paul, still wanted to raise vital funds. So, together with a group of B&Q colleagues, they ran the equivalent of a London Marathon, passing as many B&Q stores as possible on the way. Colleagues who didn't run, found other ways of raising money in support. Congratulations Paul and all of our colleagues who have made this possible!🧡 #TogetherWeCan
