For Pride Month this June, our WBA Pride Alliance group created lots of great content to share with our colleagues to celebrate progress and raise awareness of issues facing the LGBT+ community. The group held virtual Global Coming Out Panels where LGBT+ colleagues and allies from across Walgreens Boots Alliance were invited to talk about their experiences of coming out in both their personal and working lives. It has been 1 year since we switched from plastic bags to brown paper bags, removing over 900 tonnes of plastic from our store operations each year! The bags are made from unbleached, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified recycled brown paper, which is printed with water-based inks so the bags can be easily recycled at home.
