We partner with charity Technovation to help develop the next generation of diverse #tech talent. Last month, FactSet's Krithika Saikrishnan spoke at the Technovation World Summit to thousands of young women from around the world as part of the Role Model Panel. Krithika shared her background, career experiences, and tips for a successful tech career. At the event, Krithika said, "One of the most important things is to accept, wholeheartedly, that skills or knowledge gaps are always going to be there. In fact, I have found it to be very beneficial to adopt a beginner’s mindset towards work problems and go in with an attitude of learning and developing my skills, therefore, benefiting my team and employer."
Thank you to all the FactSetters who participated in our second annual Pledge for the Planet environmental campaign, which celebrates individual actions and big collective impacts. Together we volunteered in 39 events and completed more than 3,300 sustainability challenges, resulting in 11,776 kilograms of carbon dioxide and 1,061 liters of water saved. In the process, we helped to grow the FactSet forest with over 20,000 trees planted with the global reforestation charity One Tree Planted and our local partners around the world.
FactSet is proud to support upReach as part of our Corporate Responsibility commitment to Inspire Tomorrow's Engineers. Our work together has helped 75 young people to take their first steps into careers in the technology sector, including 18 students who joined FactSet as externs, interns, and graduate hires this year. Extending our partnership, we are honored to support upReach's Student Social Mobility Awards that showcase the incredible achievements of undergraduates from less advantaged backgrounds across the UK.
