On Tuesday, our East Yorkshire Construction team held a powerful health and safety seminar for all site staff and sub-contract partners, with guest speakers Jason Anker MBE and Sean Toon. Jason and Sean shared their real-life story of the devastating impact of a workplace accident and how one decision at work can change your life. A huge thank you to both Jason and Sean for delivering such an impactful talk on the vital connection between health, safety and wellbeing. Thank you to all who attended and engaged with the session. Gleeson is proud to have joined hundreds of organisations worldwide in flying SDG flags at selected developments, raising awareness of the UN’s Global Goals and mobilising communities behind the 2030 agenda. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (‘SDGs’) and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the United Nations Global Compact. Gleeson has committed to six of the UN SDGs as part of its sustainability strategy, including: ✅ Gender equality ✅ Decent work and economic growth ✅ Sustainable cities and communities ✅ Responsible consumption and production ✅ Climate action ✅ Life on land SDG Flags will be flown at several of our sites, including Crown Gardens, Hollinwell Heath, Kingston Fields, Phoenix Meadows, Waterloo Sidings, Middlestone Meadows, Safari and St Patrick's Vale, for one month. Our East Yorkshire team had the pleasure of hosting their regional Charity Golf Day on Friday 29th August, in aid of Zarach the Children's Bed Charity.
