An engaging management event at the stunning Brockholes yesterday where we were delighted to meet and greet our private equity investors Partners Group. It was also really good for our head office leaders to hear from our colleagues based in the field about the roles they undertake. Our HR team told us about the progress we are making on improving our workplace. Our Chief Financial Officer gave a financial update and informed us how well the business is performing. Thank you to all the speakers and those involved in organising the event. Bring on the next one.
FOUR lucky @KRGroupUK colleagues were bowled over yesterday at Old Trafford watching England win the one-day international series against Australia. They were knocked for six by the quality of the hospitality, food, weather and of course the Cricket! Thank you to all involved.

Congratulations to all members of the KR Group Team who raised £1,640 (or 328% of their target) on Sunday by throwing themselves into the chaos of the Hero Assault course. Taking full advantage of the warm weather, the team braved colour showers provided by Storm Troopers as well as innumerable unmentionable obstacles, a waterslide and the ‘legendary’ bog of doom! Team spirit prevailed and ensured that everyone finished the course – occasionally with a little help from their colleagues.

It is our great pleasure to announce that our first charity has been chosen. Brian House Children’s Hospice based in Blackpool is a specialist unit within Trinity Hospice specialising in palliative care for children. As one of only a handful of local children’s hospices in the UK it currently supports over 80 families. Brian House is available for any child on the Fylde coast who has a life debilitating illness from birth through to 25 and is run purely on donations from the public and through sponsorship by organisations. It costs £3,500 a day to run accumulating in a yearly bill of £1.2million. They receive no government intervention and the most they can claim through grant funding is £190,000. Every year they fall short of the figure by £600,000 to which they rely on Trinity Hospice to cover the shortfall. KR Group is excited to be supporting Brian House both with volunteering and fundraising opportunities and we look forward to having some fun along the way!
