Last week we hosted 130 students aged 16-18 in our 10FA office in London, in collaboration with The Talent Foundry. Students from different schools across London spent a full day learning employability skills and about financial literacy, equipping them with valuable insight into the world of financial services. Supported by 48 M&G volunteers, students engaged in mock interviews, speed mentoring, investment games and social media sessions. Our community investment programmes focus on providing education and skills to increase financial confidence and revitalising communities to deliver local, sustainable development. This is delivered with our charity partners and support from our colleagues, who volunteer their time to make a difference. In 2024 alone, our colleagues contributed over 12,000 hours of their time as part of our commitment to offer every colleague two volunteering days per year. Together, we’re building financial confidence and creating lasting impact where it matters most.

We're delighted to share that Fabiana Fedeli, M&G’s Chief Investment Officer for equities, multi-asset and sustainability, has been selected on Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women in European Finance list. Fabiana leads a team of around 150 investment professionals across M&G’s asset management business, as well as leading the stewardship and sustainability team – which works across all of our investments. Fabiana has been recognised for her team’s success across the asset management industry – including the recent launch of an AI-focused equity fund, which received an initial £20 million investment from M&G. To mark #SouthAsianHeritageMonth, our colleague-led Embrace Network organised celebrations throughout July and August. The festivities began with a panel event which was hosted by our colleagues. The panel focused on this year's theme, "Free to be me", allowing the panelists the opportunity to share with the audience how this resonated with them. They also discussed topics including their upbringing, family lives, career journeys, breaking stereotypes and the balancing act of maintaining their cultural values and heritage whilst living in the UK. Other events have included: a henna workshop, a Bollywood dance class, an online quiz, a virtual cook-along for a paneer and chicken curry, movie night and a Spotify playlist curated by colleagues from all around the globe. #Diversity #Inclusion #SAHM24 #FreeToBeMe
Our 2024 Interns and 2023 Graduates volunteered in London and Scotland to improve local parks. In London, they weeded and pulled up small trees at Harrow Nature in Stanmore.
