“Being trusted to lead and be innovative at work early in my career has been a huge motivator.” As a nuclear process engineer based in the UK, Harry Barker works in the challenging and exciting energy sector. Joining us as a graduate in 2021, he has already played a key role in the UK’s first small modular reactor assessment and is helping the next generation of engineers follow in his footsteps. Starting as a macroeconomist, Eva Zamshina was inspired to move to New Zealand and make a career change to help with the post-earthquake rebuild in Christchurch. Fast forward 10 years, and she is now a principal digital designer in our building services team. Eva likes to think of building services as a puzzle where pipes, ducts and cable trays must be arranged so that they function seamlessly as a system. Using her BIM knowledge, she coordinates building services design with architecture, structural, seismic and other design strategies to deliver buildings that are comfortable, efficient, safe and sustainable.
