Heating our homes accounts for 14% of the total emissions the UK produces each year. That’s why the transition to electric heating is fundamental to delivering Net Zero. In partnership with BEIS, Kaluza, Mitsubishi and Sunamp we have been trialling scalable, smart electric central heating that, when combined with renewable energy, can create a practical and low cost solution to creating the zero carbon home of the future, today. In light of the ongoing situation in Ukraine, we know that a lot of our customers will be worried about their friends and family in Ukraine and will be trying to contact them. As of Monday, 7th March, we are removing the charges for calls to Ukraine landline and mobile numbers for our SSE phone & broadband customers to ensure that customers wishing to contact friends or family do not have to worry about the cost of these phone calls.
