This year we raised an incredible £250,000 for BBC Children in Need! We have been delighted to continue our amazing fundraising efforts for Children In Need this year. From a Summer Ball, to Head Office bake sales, and continuous hard-work within our Welcome Break locations through lots of creative activities such as Pedal for Pudsey – we continue to strive to make a difference in young people’s lives across the UK. Recently we held a ‘Welcome Break goes Back to the Floor’ day! Back to the Floor is a day that we make time for every year where the team at our Vantage Court support centre join team members at Welcome Break locations and hotels. It’s a fantastic opportunity to not only see projects we work on behind the scenes come to life, but it’s key in understanding the challenges our Operations Team can face on a day-to-day basis. The Hotel and Amenity Operations team members made sure we were put through our paces; making bread in Subway, cleaning rooms in Days Inn and getting stuck in with all our other brands. Above all, we took plenty of learnings from the day that we look forward to discussing and taking into our work going forward. It can be easy to forget what it’s like in Operations in-between Teams calls sat at a desk and after the year or so everyone has had, it was nice to put faces to names we’ve seen in emails! We’re already looking forward to more Back to the Floor dates in 2022 as we grow and improve as a team.
