Thanks to the efforts of those who contributed to the Winn Group Christmas raffle, we’ve raised a significant amount to be donated to Tiny Lives. Our chosen charity of the year will receive £2,093 after hundreds of staff entered the raffle, hoping to win a range of prizes.
Winn Group Chief Executive Officer Chris Birkett has commended the performance of the company after its 2024 half-yearly financial results highlighted strong growth despite challenging market conditions. Winns has seen, in comparison to the half-year point in 2023, percentage increases in turnover, EBITDA, and credit hire contracts. These results not only demonstrate continued growth but also signify outstanding service to customers in the claims process, the basis for our success in the marketplace.
Taking a first tentative step into the legal profession, many candidates want to see tangible career opportunities in front of them. Winn Group prides itself on providing those options, giving employees across the group the chance to take the next step with them and demonstrate that the organisation actively wants them to evolve. One route is the training contract, something Natalie Hall embarked upon. Nearly 10 years later, she is now a Senior Supervisor, a fully qualified Solicitor, and thriving in her role at Winns.
Sadie Mason Noble and Beth Quinn are the latest aspiring solicitors to complete their training contract at Winn Group. Focusing on providing this opportunity only to internal applicants, Winns regularly offers training contracts during the year to provide incentive for those seeking career progression and multiple avenues for employees wanting to enhance their skills and experiences in the legal profession. Proud of our many different training options, the company always takes a great sense of pride when staff complete their training contract, with Sadie and Beth’s achievement fitting that bill.
Four aspiring solicitors started their training contract journey with Winns as Liam Appleby, Adam Doyle, Helena Lowther, and Caitlin Townsend began the two-year path to being fully qualified recently. Set to enjoy a selection of different roles across the company over the next 24 months, this training period will provide a range of experiences in legal departments, allowing the trainees to have a more holistic understanding ahead of qualifying. Winns offers regular training contract places throughout the year on an internal-only basis, encouraging our staff to develop and remain with us through their careers.
Team Management has done it again... our annual staff vs management winners for the second year running! 🏆 But the biggest winners, by far, were our chosen charity of the year, Tiny Lives Trust, with £3,547 donated to the cause by players and supporters!
Winn Group hosted a coffee morning, in aid of our chosen charity of the year Tiny Lives, raising over £1,000. Five buffets of sweet and savoury treats were set up across our office spaces, with the brilliant amount of £1,003 donated to the charity thanks to the generosity of our staff.
After an extensive amount of study and exam work, George Edwards has been awarded the title of Fellow of Legal Executives. An outstanding legal achievement, George, who works in our Serious and Technical Injury Team, has dedicated time outside of a full-time role to get to this point. An alternative route to gaining a professional qualification in law, George is able to practice to an equivalent level of a Solicitor while conducting his role at Winns.
Winn Group is pleased to welcome Valeria Karam to the Vehicle Damage Training and Development Team, after she earned a well-deserved promotion to the position. Upskilling current staff and providing them with the renewed confidence to succeed in their role, and ensuring a smooth transition for new starters, our training teams work diligently to enhance the performance of those in the wider teams. By empowering staff to continually learn on the job, we see the value in the outstanding customer reviews that reflect our market-leading service.
