Apple AR/VR Algorithm Engineer interview questions

I just had phone interviews. I passed the first one with an engineer, but I guess I failed the second one with a researcher. What he said is there is already a candidate who almost gonna accept the offer, but I guess he just lied to avoid conversation with me. I followed up with the recruiter and she just ghosted me. That was such a sad experience.
