There was an application, a group activity and role play where you had to describe items from the catalogue and then if successful there was a competency interview with a manager.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Argos (Grimsby, England) in Oct 2015
Interview
Was called inviting me to an interview a week before the date. I arrived early and manager was very grateful for this, it was a relaxed interview as he said he had made his mind up already (because I was early and smiled!). Called within a few hours saying I had got the job!
General questions were asking and the interview was quite informal.

Friendly and relaxed. Questions relevant to role. Asked about skills and experience. Discussed working pattern and availability. Discussed all roles available for Seasonal work and overtime
Invited for second interview.
