Three rounds of remote interview: First, the Talent Acquisition Specialist called me 2 weeks after my online application. He asked some general questions of my background and work experience. Then, I talked with the hiring manager 10 days later. The questions are all about bioinformatic skills and knowledge, particulary NGS data analysis.
The final interview took 3.5 hours, composed of my presentation, coding test and 1:1 interviews. Google Meet is used for the interview, so it's better to get familiar with the tool in advance. Presenting my slides (full screen mode) in Goolge Meeting is a bit ackward, as I cannot see other audience if I have only one screen. So It's better to use a second screen. Coding test is on Codility platform, which is very easy to use. The interviewer is very friendly to help me achieve a python task. Other three 1:1 interviews covered NGS data analysis (exome-seq, RNA-seq and scRNA-seq) and biomarker discovery, very interesting discussions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist contacted me in 2 days after the interview and gave me feedback.
