I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2012
Interview
The hiring process was pretty quick. Phone interview, than a power day where I interviewed with a few peers, the person whom would be my hiring manager, and one of their peers. They were professional and asked mosty behavorial quesitons, and also gave me a case study that was like doing a word algebra problem.

Question 1
None of the questions were very difficult, they were all behavorial and canned
Interview process started with an online Assessmsent first, HR Screening , then mini case study. Case study involved data review, giving feedback on how results could be improved. You will get asked technical questions (how would you build a certain application so have UI and Design questions practiced.
Frist round included a virtual culture assessment. Online scenarios and options of what to chose so that they can see the types of decisions you make, not necessarily how you make these decisions.
The interview process was smooth overall. It started with a computer screening, followed by a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my experience and fit with Capital One. Then I had a one-hour “money case” discussing a Capital One product from different angles. I’ve now moved to the PowerDay round, which includes two product cases, one product skills round, and one product discovery round.
