I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Dec 2023
Interview
My experience interviewing with Capital One was pretty neutral. I would rank communication and timelines set by recruiter as a very positive experience. Compared to many other interviews I have done, the feedback after each out is given out pretty quick (with a few days). The power day however was a bit much. Back to back impersonal interviews, while the questions weren't hard, is very draining. The interviewers really don't take much time to get to know you or to talk about the role, they literally spend about 95% of the call drilling questions down your throat.

Question 1
Why Capital One? Product Case (walk through a full product launch you have done, and be able to talk through the technical aspects of it). Product design case. Two product analysis cases.
Interview process started with an online Assessmsent first, HR Screening , then mini case study. Case study involved data review, giving feedback on how results could be improved. You will get asked technical questions (how would you build a certain application so have UI and Design questions practiced.
Frist round included a virtual culture assessment. Online scenarios and options of what to chose so that they can see the types of decisions you make, not necessarily how you make these decisions.
The interview process was smooth overall. It started with a computer screening, followed by a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my experience and fit with Capital One. Then I had a one-hour “money case” discussing a Capital One product from different angles. I’ve now moved to the PowerDay round, which includes two product cases, one product skills round, and one product discovery round.
