I applied online. I interviewed at Elastic (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Was not informed by interviewer that having notes during zoom prior to interview was not ok. While describing my value to Elastic, I was interrupted mid-sentence and the interviewer was harsh and negative. This experience was hard to recover from.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We can understand how the interviewer's etiquette shook you and we're sorry that happened. We have no rule that candidates cannot reference notes yet it's hard to understand the full context. Our SDR roles are required to research and have initial conversations as part of their job scope. Perhaps it was an assessment of these skills.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Elastic in Dec 2019
Interview
Despite being an entry-role position, the hiring process is complex and includes around 6 rounds of interviews to be carried out via Zoom or on-site. The recruiters continuously test the candidate about their knowledge of the products, motivation and how to ensure the generation of leads.
Elastic offers a tremendous product. All the sales manager sounded extremely thrilled to work for Elastic.
Overall, great yet intense experience. I'd definitely recommend applying.

I was connected by HR for first interview via phone with clear explanation on the interview's purpose which I really appreciated. HR was very professional but also genuine to share about the job in details, company culture. It was very informative and constructive interview session.
I got invitation for the next interview with hiring manager but I had to decline because I already had another two jobs offer.
