I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Poway, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Internal, asking why I wanted to interview and work there. Interviewing person is typically a senior manager and was fairy straight forward. They have your performance metrics infant of them before you walk in the door. Multiple references and concerns to tenure in company and short advancements (I can see this as a worry for having me leave immediately, but claims was where I wanted to be).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most employees are here for several years before they move into claims, why should I hire you?
What makes you better at this job then the other candidates?
This job has attention to detail, can you explain how you have attention to detail?
Three phase process. Usually hired within the company. Sometimes they hire out for TCRI. Which is what my interview was for and I was an outside hire. You get interviewed. Then I had to sit with someone and watched. Last step was a second interview.
Miserable. They have you pretend answer calls and fake file papers. Fake deal with disgruntled customers. For like 4 hours. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. In the first day of training everyone laughs about how miserable it is. Do not recommend.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at GEICO in Dec 2022
Interview
I interviewed for the position and could immediately tell that I was not going to get the job. I could instantly tell I was not liked. I was called the wrong name and was not given a fair opportunity.
