The HR Business Partner was the first person that got into contact with me to share the job description and subsequently arrange an interview. He wanted me to meet the Research Director first and then the Senior Director. Due to timing and schedules however, I first met the HR and the Senior Director first and the second interview was with the Research Director. The first interview went great, the dynamic was amazing, they were very well prepared and read my CV in detail. The second interview was supposed to be more technical or specific, although I didn't feel it went into that much detail about any technicalities. It was a little dull and repetitive, especially as the Research Director had not read the CV in detail and kept reading it during the interview, however this didn't put me off. Following the two interviews I received an offer from the HR who following my acceptance passed it on to a more junior HR member to complete the hiring process. The office atmosphere (it was the Harrow office) was not particularly inviting due to cheap furniture and no people around (it was 7pm), however it was impressive how big their offices were. The first interview was in the Borough office which seemed a little crammed with people and just older, but not uninviting. I was impressed with the access security at the door! In terms of people, I could only judge by the people I had met with and as mentioned above - the HR and the Senior Director had a good dynamic going, they put me at ease and managed to make me relax yet retain my confidence. The Research Director was a little worried and perhaps anxious, not exuding the best confidence and not prepared enough but put on a good show to depict the complexity of the job.
