Software Engineer - Frontend + UI Interview

      25 Aug 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Mountain View, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2016

      Interview

I applied through a referral. The process involved a short call with a recruiter, a 1 hour phone screen, and a full day onsite at the Sunnyvale office (9am to 4pm). I had 6 interviews plus lunch with a senior engineer. Most of these were 2:1, where one interviewer was leading while the other shadowed. In total I met 11 people. Everyone was super nice :-) I got a call the day after my onsite letting me know they wanted to move forward. The recruiting coordinator asked for my input on teams I might want to work with and got back to me a few days later with a placement. I met with the team lead and felt good about our conversation. After a few more calls to wrap up loose ends, I received an offer letter. I accepted the same day. Altogether, the process from start to finish took about a month.
