      Staff Engineer Interview

      13 Jun 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Arrived 15 mins early. Several scheduling conflicts with the intended interview host led me to interview with a great team. It was the best sort of mix up because it led to working with some of the best on the team. The interview was part of behavioral and part technical. The technical questions were all verbal and usually started with "what do you know about..." The behavioral aspects of the interview were interesting because it was a panel interview with a lot of behavioral questions. The interviewers were very experienced in many different engineering disciplines and their time management skills shown brightly during the interview. I was genuinely impressed and excited to begin working with the team. Turns out I'm not too eccentric or crazy to be hired after all.

      Staff Engineer Interview

      20 Mar 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Grand Prairie, TX
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Grand Prairie, TX) in Dec 2012

      Interview

The interview was less about my capabilities and more about whether there was a "vibe". While interpersonal skills are very important, so are capabilities. I have seen a lack of technical questions backfire when the person that was hired was essentially incompetent.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      How do you like Texas?
