I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta in Aug 2020
Interview
The Facebook interview process is by far the best I've ever had at any company. They are organized and have a candidate portal that helps you write thank you notes to people you have spoken with/track status etc and they really prepare you for what to expect. The process was one I compare every other interview to now and no other company has come close. This was a sales role so in addition to the 5-6 30 min convo's you have with different people you do a pitch to a panel. They give you lots of direction on how to prepare.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What do you think is most important to a CMO at the companies we sell to?
4-5 interviewers to complete the "full loop". Mostly behavioral questions - need to respond with the STAR format
Situation: Set the scene by describing the context or background where the event took place. This helps the interviewer understand the setting and why it mattered.
Task: Explain the specific responsibility, goal, or challenge involved in that situation. This is often brief—just enough to clarify your role.
Action: Detail the steps you personally took to tackle the task or resolve the situation. Emphasize your unique contribution, using "I" instead of "we".
Result: Share the outcome, highlighting quantifiable results when possible and noting what you learned or achieved. Positive results and key takeaways make your story memorable.

Question 1
The experience, describe the takeaways and achievement you have done before
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Meta (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was very thorough (I went through at least 6 interviews total). Most are pre scripted questions while interviewers take rigorous notes to make sure you are a fit for the role and for Meta's culture. Started with hiring manager conversation, loop with 4 people who all work within the organization - Client Solution Managers, other Client Partners, and Industry Managers. This was then followed by a pitch presentation to a panel on the team you would be likely to join. They leave room for ambiguity during the pitch process to see how you think and operate.
