Moderna Project Manager interview questions

Applied and finally received a request for interview 5 months later. When asked for salary requirements, was told they were in line with the senior level position, and that they had flexibility to meet it with that bump up. Had already served as Senior level in two previous positions, so this was not a stretch. Was scheduled for several 45 minute interviews, which were rescheduled several times. Interviewers were pleasant explained the position and the hectic, fast-paced environment, so this was nice that it was clear from the beginning. When hiring manager reached out to recruiter, suddenly the Senior position was off the table and salary was 25% below requirements that had already been discussed. Recruiter did not communicate decision or explanation. Learned of decision from hiring manager. Was disappointed to have devoted hours to preparing and interviewing and then to end up this way.

The interview process was smooth and well organized for all participants. They structured the interviews to the needs of the roles and explained the scope very well. The Hiring team was the opposite and gave me a positive experience. Unfortunately, the HR call gave me another impression of Moderna ( I was interrupted a few times and felt like talking to a child) and the call was simply unprofessional in terms of atmosphere and interview behaviour. The Interview took place online and I had four calls split into two days with Hiring Manager, Other Directors and HR. Overall, I believe Moderna is a good company but I felt due to their recent vaccine launch they are very underdeveloped in terms of staffing and organization. I decided not to work there at this point as the organization seems too chaotic yet.
