Applied online, got a call for an interview with department manager. Wonderful manager, JK, interview was very interactive but I was a little shy. Manager did his homework. I received a call back and started orientation the following week.
A few questions with someone then you’ll meet with a manager in a department they think you would good for. The department manager had me pick out an outfit for a pretend customer and describe why I picked certain items

The process to interview at Nordstrom for the Commissions Sales Associate was a very simple process; I received a phone call interview first and then was offered an interview at the store with a Department Manager and I sensed that I would be offered the position immediately...I received a phone call a few days later where the Department Manager said to me that I was hired.

The Department Manager asked me my favorite section to shop at Nordstrom.
Normal behavioral questions and questions related to retail experience/interest in fashion. Nice interviewer was low pressure experience. Interviewed by department manager. Heard back day of interview and started training very soon after.
