The hiring manager scheduled a phone interview, and then had an onsite interview with a Director, and another Director who is also a key stakeholder of this role. Then the HR gave me the offer letter

I first had a call with a university recruiter who was very friendly and supportive. Interview with the manager - overall very demotivating. (Spoiler: I believe they had already decided who to hire) I had done extensive company research and I was very excited about the role. However, the enthusiasm was not reciprocated at all. From the start, it didn't seem like the interviewer (manager) even wanted to be on the call. When I tried to make the interview more of a conversation (which is a well-known best practice) the interview shut me up and asked if we could just go through each individual question that she had prepared. And for each answer I gave, the interviewer didn't even bother to react. So the interview ended up being a boring question-answer format without any deep understanding of what the team actually does, nor of myself as a candidate. That was followed with weeks of no update, and a while later after I followed up a few times, they told me someone else had accepted the offer. While it's understandable that someone else might even perform better than me. But, it was very disrespectful to waste my time like that and overall very boring. I hope that this is not representative of the larger company's culture. But from my experience, I knew I'd not accept the offer even if I got it. I don't think someone who's not interested in engaging in a discussion interview would be willing enough to mentor me and give me insightful feedback that I need to grow especially as I begin a career.
