I was called by HR directly. I was told that there would be 2 technical rounds and 1 Manager round and 1 HR round.
I gave my first technical interview. It went well for 1 and half hours, I knew that its gonna be a positive one. Almost all the questions are from the product that I have worked on and what design methodologies that I have used so far. Some architectural questions on how would you design this problem.
I was called for an another day, I gave my second technical interview. It went well for 1 and half hours, I knew that its also gonna be a positive one. All the questions are about my current role and projects. 2 to 3 architectural questions.
The same day of the 2nd technical round, I met the hiring Manager. The talk went for 2 and half hours. This round was quite different and he made me so comfortable in the all the ways. Nothing much on technical, rather about your interests, your work expectations and why SAP labs, etc.. I was asked 4 to 5 mathematical concepts like Integration and Differentiation and it is practical use. But it was really interesting and he helped me to solve those as well. He was very clear in his points and told his expectations and everything clearly. He said I need some time to get you the result.
I came out from Campus, after an hour I got a mail from HR, to fill up the candidature form. I was surprised, as manager that he would need 2 days to finalize.
After that, no communication. I mailed after a week and asked about the status. HR called me and told me that I should take up another technical round to finalize the offer. He told me that for this senior architect role they need one more check. He convinced me, so I went again.
Then the 3rd Technical round, again questions were on my current projects. What design patterns have you used? How did you scale your application? How to write a micro services module? I did really well in this round as well.
Now, HR came and told me, we need to discuss with hiring manager again and will let you know the status in any condition. Not sure about the result. How ever for me it was really a good experience.
