I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Culver City, CA) in May 2011
Interview
Received a phone call from Thomson Reuters HR asking if I was still interested in the position. Had a brief interview with HR person. Then had a one-on-one phone interview with the hiring manager for about thirty minutes. Then called in for a four hour interview that consisted of meeting with the hiring manager first, then three other colleagues within the department - all one-on-one interviews. Just about the same questions four times in a row. Felt like a waste of time to me and would have rather had it done in a group setting in an hour. After the interview process, I waited a while and received a call saying that there was a late internal applicant so that was the cause for the delay. Then I finally received the offer on Sunday evening.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For my position, they wanted to know how extensive my Excel knowledge was and give examples of handling Excel and data related issues.
One in person interview. Fairly straightforward. I received a call shortly after the interview with their decision. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The interview process was definitely fine.

They don't know what talents are. They have the WORST recruitment process ever, they only based if you pass the BUPLAS. They don't care about your qualification, they only care if you pass the BUPLAS if you don't then bye bye. I take the exam seriously, I wouldn't drive a long way from home just to play with that exam.A lot of us failed and I ask the others about their qualifications, they are really good! they are also bilinguals with professional experience! Funny, it's just so funny how TR's traditional recruitment process kill supposed talents they may have. Well, keep up the WORST work. Eat your stupid BUPLAS.
