The interview process overall was good I had engaging conversations with the team and appreciated how structured it felt. However, during one of the final rounds, a PM team member mentioned that the team is working on a specific product/project that hadn’t been mentioned anywhere in the job description or by the recruiter beforehand. They then asked if I had prior experience related to that area. It caught me a bit off guard, as I had prepared based on the stated responsibilities and requirements.
While I tried to connect my past experience to the project context as best as I could, it did feel like the expectations and the actual focus of the role weren’t fully aligned with what was communicated earlier. I still value the opportunity to learn more about the team’s direction, but it left me with a mixed impression overall.
After that round, I never heard back no rejection, no follow-up, just complete silence. It was disappointing, especially after investing time and effort in the process. A simple update would’ve gone a long way in maintaining a good candidate experience
