I applied online with a few application questions, followed by online tests and a video interview, then I was invited to an assessment center in Newbury. The assessment center was mixed with other roles, so it felt more relaxed being mixed with other streams it felt less competitive. The assessment center consisted of a group task, an individual presentation (1 on 1 to an assessor), a tour of the building and then an interview lasting around an hour. You're split in to groups of around 5/6 for the group task, and you have to present your ideas to 3 assessors as a group at the end of your time. The individual presentation isn't as scary as it sounds, you present in a booth with one assessor and you are both sitting down so its not as daunting as having to stand and present a powerpoint! Keep an eye on the time when you are preparing your presentation - I ran out of time and wasn't really able to show my skills and do my best because of this. The interview focused on competencies and Vodafone values. I think they look for a personality match to the company and its values rather than tons of experience!

The video interview was an interesting experience but really fun. Then final stage was assessment centre, consisting of 1-2-1 interview, individual presentation and then a group activity. I had heard some great things about the assessment day, but was disappointing and not what i expected. My interview seemed confused about some of the questions she was asking me and kept having to ask for time to read it back to herself. The group assessors had to stop the group half way through the exercise to clarify the task we had been given. Not the most professional of assessment centre and really put me off working there. My feedback, although very positive was also very confusing and didn't really give me any greater insight into my skills etc.
