I applied online and was called about 10 days later to schedule a 1:1 interview. Very nice and pleasant interviewer. I blew the interview. I'm entering the job market after being a stay at home mom for past 18 years. I'm not sure if I was interviewed by the Team Leader for the department or he could have been the Asst. Store Manager. He never gave me his title. He asked a lot of customer service questions like "what is customer service to you?" and asked me to give a time when I felt I had provided exceptional customer service. I told him it's been over 25 years since I've worked retail but I'm huge fan of Whole Foods and have catered small dinner parties purchasing all my products from his store. I left knowing I would not get the job offer. Overall he was very nice and friendly and all the employees I interacted with were laid back and friendly. I should have been better prepared and hopefully I'll get a second chance later on down the road. If you're ever called in for an interview with Whole Foods be prepared to give examples of exceptional customer service and what it means to you.
