4 stage interview (including deign task and presentation so be prepared)
Initially i was so excited, i got on very well with the hiring manager at the first stage of the interview over zoom and was invited in for a f2f, for a tour of the building and to meet the team. Again, it went well. Now at the end of the interview i was told i had two choices either to work with them for a week paid or to work remotely on the task. Due to the fact that i was just finishing my current contract i opted for remote. After completing the task which btw is something of a live brief, I’m all for doing tasks but it very much seemed like something which they present to clients in order to redesign there websites (essentially your giving them free ideas, you be the judge of that!) Anyway I went to meet them again after completing the task was given a tour of the building AGAIN and before even presenting it felt like the process had ended. I had to chance for a response a few days later and for the feedback which was WRONG, there were suggestions of things within the feedback that i hadn’t done when i had.
The entire process feels like an easy way for them to gain ideas in order to approach new clients, if you do the task make sure it’s within your terms.
