I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Scottsdale, AZ) in Nov 2013
Interview
A 3 person interviewing process with 80% being role playing and 20% being specific questions. They were helpful with what they were looking for out of the role playing interactions but didn't really give me a chance at improving my approaches.

What is something that your friends and family would say about yourself, that you do not agree with?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
