At the beginning of the interview we clearly state the interview is in 3 parts , pre employment questions, finding out about your most recent role and finally what you know about us & the role you are applying for. However, we also make you aware that the purpose of interview is to assess communication skills, with the roles here being telephone based . We do not ask competency at this intial stage.
Given the uncertainty of the industry and times in general, I was unwilling to venture a guess. I told the interviewers that I would love to discover the answer to this question in mutually beneficial cooperation with them as employers.
